Features

Subdecay Proteus MkII is an envelope filter that anyone can use easily. Proteus, which has been well-received for many years, has been further updated and evolved into the MkII.
The newly added Resonance control takes effects to a new dimension, allowing you to create anything from a thin effect that's close to the original sound to a powerful guitar synth-like tone.
In addition, the addition of a BP/LP switch makes it possible to change the filter type.
It also supports 18V operation, providing even more headroom.

The Proteus MkII filters are fully analogue, with some digital magic applied to controlling the filter behaviour.

The old school analog filter creates a traditional autofilter tone. The analog OTA based filter design is similar to the vintage Maestro units.

The digital section of Proteus MkII is used solely to control the analogue filters, allowing simple operations like tap tempo, envelope filters and sample/hold switching.

Features: Compact filter pedal with selectable envelope and sample/hold modes. Full analog signal path. Digital controls only for tap tempo and mode switching. Simple and easy to use, suitable for live performances.

●Controls Bypass (right foot switch): Turns the effect ON/OFF.

Tap/Hold (left footswitch): Tap four times to activate a random arpeggiator (sample/hold) with speed set by tap tempo. Press and hold the footswitch for one second to return to the original envelope filter.

・Depth: Adjusts the depth of the filter movement.

Frequency: In envelope mode, this sets the resting point of the filter. In sample/hold mode, this sets the center point of the filter. When the Depth knob is set to minimum, this control can be set to move a half-stop wah. Set it where you like it most.

・Resonance: Sets the filter Q. Use this to adjust the strength of the filter.

・LP/BP: Switches between low pass and band pass filters. The band pass filter produces a sound closer to a wah pedal.

・1/2/4: In sample/hold mode, you can operate the filter at 1x, 2x, or 4x the speed of the tap tempo. This switch selects the ratio.

Dual color LED: Lights up green when effect is on, lights up red when filter is active. You can check the current mode even in bypass mode.

Differences from the previous Proteus: Bandpass/Lowpass filter selector switch. Configuration similar to the Maestro filter sample/hold. Supports 18V operation. Added Resonance knob to set the filter Q.
