Background

Modeled after the 1967-1968 Italian-made Clyde McCoy Wah, with endless controls for sounds you can dial in, the tweakability and flexibility of the Xotic Wah makes it one of the most versatile wah pedals available.

External Controls

BIAS CONTROL — This controls the bias of the first stage transistor, which is the key to the wah sound. Turning the knob clockwise emphasizes the low-frequency wah effect. Turning it counterclockwise gives you a smoother, clearer wah sound.
*Noise may occur when turning the knob, but this is not a malfunction.

WAH Q CONTROL — This knob controls the Q (filter peak), adjusting the intensity of the filter effect.

TREBLE & BASS CONTROL — Two-band EQ provides +/-15dB of range, a convenient feature for accommodating a variety of playing styles and equipment.

ADJUSTABLE RUBBER STOPPER — Located on the bottom of the pedal, this rubber bumper determines the range of motion of the pedal.

ADJUSTABLE PEDAL TORSION — The torque of the pedal can be adjusted by adjusting the nut on the right side of the pedal.

LED INDICATOR — The TLED illuminates when the pedal is on. The LED flashes when the battery level drops below 50% and the battery needs replacing.

DC JACK — If using an external power source, use a constant voltage 9VDC adapter. Make sure it is 2.1mm barrel plug, center negative. When the effect is not being used, unplug the input to conserve battery power. To change the battery, remove the four rubber feet on the bottom plate and then remove the bottom plate.
