The OverDriver (DRV-1) has the same circuit design as the FOD-1 (the FOD-1 is equipped with a mid-boost circuit). The switch allows you to switch between Tight (distortion using silicon) and Loose (distortion using germanium elements), so you can freely control anything from a vintage-like fuzz-like sound to an impressive high-gain distortion sound like the Demeter TGA-3 guitar amp.
The tone control is the key to this unit. It can be freely adjusted from a round, soft, creamy sound to a sharp, sharp, yet edgy sound that never loses its bottom. The natural distortion is as expected. From the sense of grain to the lack of distortion to the range of sound making, this is a first-class overdrive no matter where you cut it.
