The FZ-5 faithfully models the characteristics of germanium transistors used in historical vintage fuzz pedals at the element level. You can switch between three types of fuzz sounds with completely different characters with the knob. F mode features a saturation feeling for low strings and a moderately mild distortion sound for plain strings. M mode perfectly reproduces the dirty sound of the earliest distortion models, and O mode perfectly reproduces a unique sound as if an octave higher sound was added.
