  With the DRIVE set to zero, it is in a completely non-distorted state, and by raising the LEVEL, it sends a natural signal to the amp without changing the original sound, creating a drive sound that is integrated with the amp. The same goes for the clean sound, producing a powerful and thick sound.

  When distorted by itself, the OD820 produces a hot tube drive sound with a good balance from low to high frequencies while retaining the nuances of the guitar.
