It was developed from a completely different perspective than the strongest envelope filter "Prometheus" that pursues all kinds of functionality. Proteus is equipped with envelope filter mode and sample/hold mode. In envelope filter mode, a funky analog filter sound pops out. Sample/hold mode has a step sequencer that can be switched between 1 stage, 2 stages, and 4 stages, and functions as a random arpeggiator. You can also adjust the speed of the step sequence with tap tempo. In both modes, the filter setting is just by adjusting the two knobs, Depth and Freq! The biggest feature of Proteus is its simple and easy-to-understand control. Even with a bright setting, Proteus' low pass filter does not sound thin or too high-pitched, and the low end that is essential for various instruments including guitars and bass sounds is always maintained, achieving an ideal and thick tone.
